2014 Pro Truck Rules

Rules are the same as Pro cars with the following modifications:

  • Open to all 1/2 or 3/4 ton trucks & Suburban type vehicles. No ambulances or military vehicles allowed.
  • All wheel or 4X4 allowed but front or rear driveshaft must be removed.
  • No body or suspension lift kits.
  • Truck frames cannot be boxed in.  Frame repairs must not overlap.
  • Floater type rear-ends are allowed.
  • Gas tank mounted in cab or within front 24” of box. Must be secured, safe and covered. Plastic tanks are not allowed.
  • Bumpers may be changed to automotive type bumpers and brackets or 1 piece of 6” channel iron or equivalent iron (tube steel, pipe, etc.) installed with the return legs inward and laid flat against the frame. Homemade brackets allowed but must be no longer or thicker than stock brackets. No homemade V-bumpers.
  • Doors MUST be welded shut.
  • Dash, seat and door bars are REQUIRED. They must be welded securely to keep the driver protected. No size restriction on bars. Use heavy material such as channel iron or tube steel. Bars may be bolted or welded to the frame and/or the body.
  • Roll bars are allowed but cannot extend more than 24” past rear of cab and must not extend further forward than the INSIDE of firewall. No angled kickers or gussets from core support or driver cage to frame outside of drivers compartment.
  • Box and cab may be bolted together in 4 places with 1” max diameter bolts and may be welded together.
  • Box may be bolted to frame in 8 places including factory location with 1” max diameter bolts. Washers or plates may be no larger than 6” x 6” x 1/4”. Washers and plates may NOT be welded to the frame or the box.
  • Tailgate MUST be welded shut. It may be welded solid. Do not use filler material more than 1/4” thick.
