Goodhue County Fair, Zumbrota MN - Wed Aug 9 & Sat Aug 12, 2006

Wednesday’s event saw sixty-three combatants while a record breaking one hundred thirty-nine combatants showed up for Impact Motorsports Promotion’s season finale on Saturday night.

Bud Miller continued his dominance the Compact class by earning a victory at Wednesday’s show. The truck class was full of action with Jimmy Miller and Chad “Ramasterman” Ramsey earning first and second place finishes. The powder puff was a hit as Michelle Kreisler won first place.

The Saturday show will go down in history as one of the most exciting demolition derbies of all time. With all classes set up as a one heat go, the action never stopped. The evening concluded with a glorious victory in the Imperial class by Derek “Bubba” Tri.

We dedicate this evening’s show to Bubba as his life was taken in the fall of 2006. Bubba was a great sportsman and competitor who always had a smile on his face whether he was victorious or not. Bubba was a winner on and off of the track and he brought out the best in others.

Bubba – “You will be missed. Thank you for blessing us with your presence.”
