Rice County Fair, Faribault MN - Sat July 22 & Sun July 23, 2006
Excitement filled the air of the entire county of Faribault as Impact Motorsports Promotions made its debut appearance. The grandstands were packed on both days to see the non-stop action. Saturday’s event had sixty-one entrants and Sunday had fifty-eight, battling it out for over $8000 in prize money per day.
On Saturday the mini-vans put on a fantastic show with some wild and crazy driving that had the fans on their feet, with Jared DeGroot outlasting Justin Kanzenbach for the victory. Anthony Meschke battled his way to a first place finish in the hard hitting pick up truck class.
The Sunday show had more of the same hard hitting action. The trucks put on a great show, with Patrick Anderson defeating Steve Marsh and a field of other drivers for the victory. The other classes were just as exciting with metal crushing hits and plenty of excitement.
