Thank you for your interest in I.M.P. Demolition Derbies. The 2009 rules are in an easy to read printable format (PDF). To better serve our sport, its competitors and fans, we have created three sets of building rules (Pro, Stock and Mega Stock) "Pro & Stock rules have changed. READ THEM CAREFULLY!" - there are also special rules for the truck class (Pro Truck and Stock Truck). These rules will be used for different types of vehicles at different shows. The different vehicle classes are as follows:
- Full Size Car: Any year, but no Imperials, Imperial framed cars or Hearses..
- 1980 & Newer Full Size Car: Must be of a metric body and newer than 1977, as this was the first year for mass produced metric cars.
- Mid Size Car: 108” wheel base or less, front wheel drive cars only.
- Compact Car: 102” wheel base or less.
- Mighty Mini’s: Special class for Mini Vans, Compact Pick Ups and Compact SUV’s – No full size or cargo type vans, pick-ups or SUV’s allowed.
- Trucks (Suburban, 4x4 & ¾ ton allowed in Pro Class only).
- Imperial/Hearse: No military or ambulance vehicles allowed.
